Amendment of Section 89 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Yesterday (on the 24th of February, 2021) , the NA passed a bill banning corporal punishment and amending Section 89 of the Pakistan Penal code which had previously allowed guardians and teachers to administer physical punishment on children under the guise of it being for their benefit. This bill and amendment seek to no longer grant abusive adults this loophole.
